Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film will showcase the life of the Patna-based scholar, who trains 30 deserving, economically-backward students for IIT-JEE entrance exams every year with commendable success rate.
Kumar said he trusts Bahl with his life story and believes he will "make a heartfelt film".
Talking about Hrithik being chosen to play him onscreen, the maths genius said the actor is the perfect choice to essay him on celluloid.

“I am very happy because he (Hrithik) is the best choice for the role. I’ve seen his work and the kind of versatility and range that he exhibits as an actor is very strong.
“I am a rooted guy so I feel some level of emotional quotient is required to live my life on screen. I have seen that in Hrithik — on and off—screen. I have full faith in his capabilities,” he said in a statement.

While Avengers Infinity War and Avengers 4 focuses on Thanos gathering the Infinity Stones for his Infinity Gauntlet – a metallic glove – it’s unlikely the snap has anything to do with the film’s plot.

Russo added: “So we are taking our time and working on that footage because, as you can imagine, the levels of visual effects in these movies are unprecedented and there are certain things in this footage at Comic-Con that works specifically for a Comic-Con audience.
“But when we go wide, to a wide audience, we have to make sure that footage works for a wide audience.”

WhatsApp Photo Filters Get Tested on Android App

WhatsApp has been adding many new features for users, especially related to media sharing. One of the most notable features includes photo filters that iPhone users have been playing with around since June. However, Android users are yet to receive this feature, and now it has been spotted in beta briefly, hinting at its imminent arrival.
Pic: Whatsapp new update with Photo filters
Android Police reports that the photo filter feature was spotted in WhatsApp Android beta version 2.17.297, but was removed in the follow-up version 2.17.298. However, a tipster named Moshe E shared images of the feature working on the Android beta app.
In beta mode, the feature worked in the similar manner as it does on the iPhone. Users will have to head to WhatsApp, go to the individual or group chat that you want to send the media to, capture or select a photo, video, or GIF, and swipe up. Swiping up will pull out five photo filters that you can choose from. These are Pop, B&W, Cool, Film, and Chrome, but we expect WhatsApp to add more in the future, especially once it hits the stable version of Android as well.
Pic: Photo filters coming to Whatsapp
This feature is not seen in the latest version of WhatsApp beta, so prepare to be disappointed. However, the feature has been on the iOS app since two months, and it should arrive for Android users soon, so hold tight. If you can't wait to try this photo filter feature out, download the APK Mirror for WhatsApp Android version 2.17.297, and stop the app from auto updating on Google Play.

This is how Android O is going to be more user-friendly

Brighter colors and simplified iconography help make Android O one of the more appealing versions of the mobile operating system yet.
I confess: I've only been living with Android O for a couple of days. I know that plenty of Pixel and Nexus users have already had the opportunity to roll with the new notification dots and bright white notification shade for a while now. They've also had time to get used to Android O's new, horrifically expressive emoji. I'm barely through the first cycle of recovery myself, but am using them despite my apparent state of denial.
Sorry — we're not here to talk about the emoji (I've already talked about that). We're here to speak of the Android O Developer Preview, which recently hit its fourth and penultimate beta stage. I finally downloaded it in an attempt to prepare myself for Android O's imminent arrival, despite its knock on my Pixel XL's battery life. Soon, we'll finally learn what dessert it's named after, and those who upgrade to it will have the pick of a few more user-friendly features compared to its predecessor. Here's a look at some of the new and improved interface elements to look forward to in Android O
  • Big and little notifications
Pic:Screenshot from Android O
I still don't know how to feel about the dynamic notification panel for Spotify. Apparently, this is something that we'll see more of as support sprouts up in the Play Store. The gradients are gentle, and I appreciate the larger playback controls, but sometimes the algorithm that determines the color scheme is completely off.
I like the smaller, subdued notification panels, however, particularly for things like traffic reports and minor updates. I don't have as much of an inclination to immediately swipe them out of the way, even when the data becomes outdated. They also look nicer paired with the giant music controls.
  • Type in your wake-up time

Pic:Screenshot from Android O

Frankly, I hated the dial method of setting the alarm in the default Android clock app. If I'm tired — or perhaps still a bit full from dinner — the last thing I want to do is attempt to set the alarm at a precise time by dragging my finger across the screen. The old method of setting up an alarm resulted in my waking up at the oddest times — 6:57, 7:14, and 8:23, to recall a few.
In Android O, there's a little keyboard icon that pops up when you're setting your alarm so that you can be accurate with your time without a finicky dial to set it up. All you have to do is type in the time and select whether it's for AM or PM.
There's also a new alarm indicator in the notifications panel, which you'll see after you swipe down twice. You can tap it to immediately jump to the alarm section of the clock app.
  • Know your volume

Pic:Screenshot from Android O

I'm so sorry for all the times I brought my smartphone into the yoga studio, and my ringer was still on. Even with Nougat's robust notifications letting me know whether my ringer would go off, I'd often forget to check the nuance of the sound profile.
In Android O, when you hit the volume button all the way down, you'll see a bright blue notification alert that notifies you of your volume profile. It's much more apparent than the way Nougat does it!
  • It's easier to see in the sun
Pic:Screenshot from Android O
While storming through San Francisco's uncharacteristically sunny streets, I noticed Android O's lighter notification background is easier to see in direct sunlight. The background is a mix of stark white and soft gray with black on top, so there's contrast working in your favor even when there's daylight glare working against you.
I also appreciate the attention to detail in the notification shade, at least concerning how the buttons have been laid out. The settings button isn't as big as it used to be, but it's right there in the first swipe down, as opposed to the two swipes it took in Nougat. Another swipe down lets you edit your Quick Settings and offers immediate access to switch between your account and the guest profile so that you can hand your phone off to your little tyke to use it for playing games and nothing else.
  • Quietly more informative
Pic:Screenshot from Android O
My favorite part of Android O is the fact that there are little indicators laid throughout the interface to let you know how things are doing in the background. I mentioned my battery life isn't doing so well — I'm not sure what's causing that the time of writing this, but at least I can see the battery percentage drop in real time in the status bar.
If you swipe or tap into the Settings panel, you'll see other helpful indicators listed throughout, like which settings exist within certain categories, and how much storage and battery life you have left for the day. There's a new Connected devices category, too, which displays what's casting on your network and offers quick access to things like Android Beam and Printing options.
  • What's your favorite part of Android O?

Video: Android O Preview

How's the latest developer preview treating you? Do you have favorite parts of Android O that you're enjoying? Or is there anything from past versions of Android that you miss? I'd love to hear about it in the comments.

WhatsApp-UPI Payments Feature Spotted in Beta App

You may only have to wait for a few weeks before you could start using your favourite messaging app, WhatsApp, to send money to your friends and family. The much-anticipated feature has already been spotted in the beta version of the Android app that the Facebook-owned company released this week.
Pic: Whatsapp logo
WhatsApp for Android 2.17.285 beta comes with a hidden page in the app for the payment feature, according to blog WABetaInfo, which also shared an image of the feature. From what we can gather from the image, WhatsApp will allow bank to bank transfer using UPI (Unified Payment Interface), which works on top of Aadhaar infrastructure. Since it's using UPI, the bank to bank transfer will be instantaneous, as UPI works on IMPS protocol.
Gadgets 360 reported last month that WhatsApp was planning to introduce payments feature by year-end. The company, at the time, was speaking with NPCI to figure out ways to implement the feature.
Pic: Model of  UPI Payment method
Several popular messaging services including WeChat and Hike Messenger already support payment services. However, a push from WhatsApp, which is the most popular app in India with over 200 million active users, could further extend the reach of digital payments in India.
Pic: Screenshot from new whatsapp feature Whatsapp Payment
Since demonetisation last year, mobile payments apps such as Paytm (the most popular wallet app in the country) and MobiKwik have seen exponential growth in number of transactions and user base. However, none of them have as many active users as WhatsApp. Interestingly, as WhatsApp enters Paytm's territory, the mobile wallet app is planning to introduce messaging feature.
